Itchy fingers and we decided to tag along with the Mumbai Bird Watchers Club’s trail walk at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park. The idea was to see the Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher (ODKF) . Sight we did but I was ahead on the trail so missed it completely. But, now I know the general area where it might be found so will attempt to see it again in the future before the monsoon ends in Mumbai.
Got chewed by mosquitoes and my Goretex rain shell came in as a real life saver. I tried a few macro shots handheld but my success was limited even with VR. Hence decided to use the tripod for the “Green Spider” shots below. I love tripods !

Wow! Great pics of the spider. Which one is it? And thanks for the warning about the mosquitoes. Planning to visit the place next weekend.
Thank you Shilpi ! No idea about the spider. Look forward to your trip report !
