Amazonian in Bombay !!!
Evening and I heard a very unfamiliar call from outside my home window. I looked and found a rather unfamiliar but cool looking parrot. Luckily the bird sat around calling long enough for me to quickly assemble my lens on my camera and grab a few shots. Later when I asked Adesh Shivkar about this he informed me that this was a cage escapee. Looks like an Amazon Green Parrot. Now I need to plan a South America/ Brazil trip…donations gladly accepted !!!

Rakesh and I decided to check out Airoli. We decided to check out the grassland side towards the open ground. We did see a lot of activity but mostly too far to do much photographically. But Airoli surprised me with my first introduction to warblers ![]()
A Booted Warbler.
Here is a sequence of a Blythes Reed warbler taking a quick dip. I messed up the shot by not ratcheting up the ISO.

A bunch of Pied Avocets flew past.

A few waders out there yonder.
And Finally I got this Spotted Munia
