Of Hornbills, a Malabar Trogon and White Bellied Sea Eagles- Dandeli Karwar Devbagh Trip March ‘07
Yep..badly needed a break from getting the Chinese to understand a mix of North African French-Arabic mix! Yep, interesting job I have here but, it does get a lil …well..you know how it can get at times
!!!
So finally took week11 off on vacation! Drove down to Dandeli and then to Devbagh, Karwar. In retrospect, a great decision to drive this route.
At Dandeli, we met up a bunch of ( precisely three actually) “baad azz birder (35 years of birding!!!) couples” who are all practicing Doctors from Pune! Super six birders here…Guys you are super
Got to learn a whole lot from you !
And then at Devbagh we ran into Karthikeyan, the Chief Naturalist at Jungle Lodge Resorts Karnataka. We had a super white bellied Sea eagle shoot and that too right at Devbagh Beach Resort! Had a fun time with him too.
All in all , an amazing trip and I might have got some decent captures to share with you all. Got a whopping 8 gigs of pics to process and also I need to write a detailed trip report.
I am really pressed for time but, I will put up the trip report shortly. Meanwhile I will try and post a few pics everyday. For all the pics from this trip –Click here
